Lab Supply Hurricane Disaster Plan

With hurricane season in full effect, we thought it would be a good time to send out information for disaster planning.

Being in the south, we are subject to a number of natural disasters that do not affect the rest of the country.  In the last few years, we have faced hurricanes, tornados, fire, ice, and other unexpected events that have forced us to develop a plan of action should a disaster occur.  In addition, the new guide now has stronger language when discussing facilities and their disaster plans. The Guide now insists facilities have a plan in place, changing the verbiage from a “should” to a “must”.

Lab Supply is unique in that we have two warehouses with similar inventories in Ft. Worth and in Houston. In the event one becomes inoperable due to a disaster, we can truck the supplies the same day from the other warehouse.  We stock laboratory diets, bedding, PPE, enrichment products, and hydration products at both of our facilities. (Current customers will always have priority.)
