Technical Services Manager, Purina Animal Nutrition, LabDiet®.

Carrie Schultz joined the LabDiet® business group of Purina Animal Nutrition in August of 2005. Carrie manages the technical staff for LabDiet, is an animal nutritionist and diet formulator, and provides nutritional support for primary investigators, account managers and animal technicians. She is also involved with research and new product development.

Prior to joining the LabDiet® team, Carrie worked as a research scientist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Services, with research focusing on the effects of gastric hormones on the shedding of food borne pathogens in livestock. Carrie earned her M.S. and Ph.D. from New Mexico State University and the University of Kentucky, respectively, in Animal Science focusing on ruminant nutrition and reproduction physiology.
